hare krishna~
I dont usually blog on here but I am inspired to write!
I am so blown away by the abundance of this planet. The kindness of people, the power of awareness. Boulder has been such an intense learning experience for me. So filled with soul-family, soul-food, love, creeks, mountains, bare feet, laughter.
I am always remembering my ability to shift into an experience in joy, acceptance, love.
Since being in Boulder I have become enchanted with kirtan, which is devotional singing to different gods/goddess archetypes. For example, one of my favorite chants is to Shakti and Kundalini. kundalini is the serpent who lives in our spine. My dear sister Tapoja taught me it the very beginning that I’ve moved here.
Actively creating music, and being apart of the creation is so powerfully esctatic.
tonight i experience a hare krishna rasta monk jamming with some awesome college kids. Oh yeah, and I live with two practicing hare krishnas, which is a sect of Hinduism. It is a beautiful faith filled with prayer, discipline, chanting, singing, feasts, prashad, community. I am doing a work-trade to live here and help Chandra with her garden. Then I am traveling, i want to make a pilgrimage to sacred spiritual sites…i feel called to crestone, CO- Taos, NM- Sedona, AZ, Shasta, CA….and then hawaii.
Oh yeah-Rainbow gathering is in Washington State this year. Its a festival that happens in national forests, and basically is a super relaxed music festival with trading, different camps, healing, art, meditation.
